The MSc in Economics of Education & Management of Educational Units is designed for educators as well as graduates of economics, social sciences, political sciences, and natural sciences who aspire to pursue a career as executives in the education sector.

The program accepts graduates of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Greece, as well as graduates of equivalent recognized institutions abroad and Higher Technological Educational Institutes (ATEI), in accordance with the provisions of Law 3685/2008 (Government Gazette 148 A').

Applicants who hold a first-cycle degree from foreign institutions are required to submit a certified (apostilled) copy of their degree in order to verify whether the foreign institution is included in the National Registry of Recognized Foreign Institutions, as well as in the National Registry of Degree Types of Recognized Foreign Institutions. Foreign degrees are submitted and accepted in accordance with the applicable legal provisions. It is noted that if the place of study, or part thereof, is certified as having taken place within the territory of Greece, the degree is not recognized, unless the part of the studies completed in Greece was conducted at a public Higher Education Institution

In addition to the regular admissions quota, the program accepts one (1) scholar from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) who has successfully passed the relevant national postgraduate scholarship competition in the field of the MSc program, as well as one (1) foreign scholar of the Greek State. By decision of the MSc Coordinating Committee (CC) and the Special General Assembly of the Department (SGA), the number of scholarship recipients may be increased, in accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 4 of Law 3685/2008.

The number of admitted students in the MSc program is determined annually by the Departmental Assembly, following a proposal from the MSc Coordinating Committee.
